Drew VerHagen - Navarro College - 2008 Tommy John Surgery

JUCO 6’6″ Righthanded Pitcher Drew VerHagen’s (Navarro College) injury was NOT a shoulder injury. It was actually an elbow injury that required UCL Reconstruction (Tommy John) Surgery in 2008.

Recently, there have been several incorrect reports on blogs sites and in other online and print media that have indicated Drew was recovering from a shoulder injury. I would like to clear that up and let anyone interested know that Drew has never had a shoulder injury of any kind and other than Tommy John Surgery in 2008 he has a clean injury history.

In June of 2008 Drew had Tommy John Surgery (UCL Reconstruction) on his right elbow. The Surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama. He has recovered well, his arm is strong and is now finally getting an opportunity to throw on a regular basis.

Drew VerHagen is 6'6" Righthanded JUCO Pitcher from Navarro College (Texas) that has recently had his fastball clocked in the mid 90's. Drew Transferred to Navarro from the University of Oklahoma and has committed to Play for Vanderbilt in the 2012 Season.

He is really excited about being back on the mound for Navarro and getting to compete on a regular basis. Through four starts he has 24IP, 16K’s, 9BB,9 Hits and a 1.50 ERA and in his last two starts he has 13IP, 11K’s, 1 BB, 3 Hits and a 0.00 ERA.
